and since that i am finally a tad more free, let me just summarize them into a short list of happenings (not in chronological order) ...
1. Deepavali 08
Deepavali 08 was spent at the usual hot spot, Veni's house. It's an annual gathering and most of the time, turned out to be some sort of ex-school mates and long lost friends reunion day.
This year round, bf's tagged along. Apparently, Werny brought her new bf which i only managed to witness through the camera's screen as i was late. Su brought Nigel who thinks he's the hot chinese dude i was referring to (when in fact i was talking about another guy Veni invited). I brought Randy, who turned out to have a new found friend.
2. Sandra's Birthday On the verge of campaign preparations, we still managed to have Sandra a.k.a Ah Lian's birthday celebrated at Santini, Jaya 1. It wasn't any grand celebration as everyone was not just broke, but was also very much exhausted with preparations for the publicity week. Initially, Lian was hesitating on whether or not to stay for her birthday as her other half was already planning to drove down from Taiping to have her birthday celebrated.
I guessed she felt bad for me and also her bf, she finally agreed to have both parties partied together. It was a brieft but great celebration anyhow. Best thing of the night? Free flow of Magaritas for the ladies!
3. Pre-campaign bonding sessions
Campaign. campaign. campaign. The Consumer Rights Campaign really brought me lots of unforgetable moments and experiences. There were some bad ones, then it came some of the good ones. I could understand why April wanted to cry the other day when she was talking to me over the messenger. It was really something that had been our routine for more than a month, that we're so used to it, so missed it. For a period longer than i could remember, we've been travelling all out and about, gathering and meeting time to time and staying up nights after nights. All the times we had together in groups made most of us inseprable over time.
Feelings shared and friendship grew. Even at the hardest time, when emotions were shaken, when tears came dropping, thank god for friends who have supported. Rough oceans does make a good sailor.
5. Aunt's birthday (back to my beloved hometown).
Yes, i do have a hometown and its not KL.
It's at Kuang and not that Kluang you all know in Johor. The Kuang i grew up in is in the Selangor state, somewhere near sg buloh.
So, it is not thattt far. Just about an hour drive.Anyway, I really like going back there. Alot of them are those who i've spent my childhood with , and they are really friendly..
This is also where i had my first 6 years of childhood, where i had my kintergarden, where i climbed the first tree, flew the first kite, catched the 1st grasshoppers, tadpoles and stole a chick and flee off on my tiny bicycle. I even played with eels, fished and watched grandma tapping the rubber trees. Now you probably know i'm not that spoil little kid who grew up in a nursery.
When i was little, i always thought how cruel are mum and dad to have left me with granpa and grandma to live in the village to only come see me on weekends.. Now that i've all grown up and both grandpa and grandma are gone, I realised how much these memories had meant to me. I wouldnt have traded anything in the world to grow up in such surroundings and i'm glad mum and dad made such decisions back then. It's not something i'm ashamed of, being brought up in a village nor of those things i do when i was younger. It is not something many get to experience.Writing these made me felt how much i've changed over the years. It's weird how moving back to the city can change someone so tremendously. Anyway, heappy birthday beloved aunt! Hope you're blessed with good health and wealth!
6. Chen Fui's 21st Birthday By looking at the huge cup of drink, everyone would have guessed the venue. The usual place people hang out for free drinks on birthday, Wong Kok.
It was a random and suprise celebration right after the Wednesday campaign in uni *sigh* speaking of the recent campaign reminds me that i've still yet to win any lucky draw since the first campaign. =(
Chen Fui's has been pretty lucky, having won twice so far. Sandra and Sue Leng too won in two other campaigns. When will my turn be?!! dammit, its the final campaign already next week!
Erm, sorry for the distraction, back to Chen Fui's birthday...
6. I've to re-do my entire chapter 1 for my FYP, which makes me hate FYP even more. My supervisor on the other hand, i have only 1 emotion to describe T___T
I don't have a good feeling about this........
7. I've been very very broke, surviving the campaign period eventhough shopping was out of the list. Extra petrol, extra phone credits. extra meals but no extra money. =(
8. Finals will be ending on 16th and i'll be able to attend someone sister's wedding at the church (1st time!)
9. I'm still hessitating on whether or not to have my first ever online shopping experience. I'm not holding back because of anything else....but I'm more afraid of not fitting into them. *hmm..*
10. On the brighter side, Christmas is here again! Malls are starting to put up the decos and christmas songs are back on the radio! My lovey dovey christmas! How can i tell you how much i love the season more than anything?
11. Coming thursay, Sunway Lagoon.*nyehehe*
12. I'm very much in love with the song "stay" by estrella that i even have it on my blog.(May take some time to load). Sorry folks if you find it annoying! =P Me likey!
