Its such a torture when you have nothing to do yet you’re not allowed to sleep.
T_T
I tell myself that it’s just a few more hours before I get off for a long stretch of holiday.
My boss gave all of us (interns) 2 additional days off for the CNY *yay* and even greater, we get to chose the days we want to use the additional leave on. Obviously we opt for the eve and the following Monday! That means I have a continuous stretch of holidays that last for 6 days!!
All hail PETRONAS!!
Come come come all my darlings! We shall go for some shopping treat and house hopping and clubbing and food fest and spa and massage and manicure and pedicure and yumca and many many more. Hahaha. So many “ many” and “and”….. and I like!
Actually, there is so much to update to my blog. So many pictures waiting to be posted but I’m just way too lazy to describe about the event after it passed. The thing is whenever I have the mood or sudden urge to blog about something, my pc is not by my side and whenever I have my pc in front of me I’ll be doing everything else except for blogging. In the end of the day when I’m done chatting, checking my mail, feeding my facebook frog(freddo), etc etc, I’ll be too lazy to blog and my brain starts telling me to sleep…. So… yah! That’s bout it!
I kept delaying and now there is like 4-5 events left unbloged. I know I’m not obliged to anyone to blog about everything but I have rules(self made) which I want/need to oblige to (Pinkaberry) which is keeping every events posted to my blog (If possible) Remarkable events (self proclaim) which I felt should leave some footage behind for my own reference in some time to come. Ceh…
Anyway, nuff bout the regrets, it’s pay back time!
Here are some pictures on one of the event that took place a
The Dubai students visit to the PETRONAS Twin towers!
Guess who’s the emcee? Hehehe
All year round, we get tons of requests to visit the towers and the sky bridge. It is like whenever people are here in Malaysia, one of their itineraries would definitely be a visit the Twin towers (don’t ask me why, I don’t know.. probably because that’s the best architectural building we have T_T) Unfortunately this is part of what the Corporate Affairs department (saya punye dpt) take charge of, which is to accept or reject the visit (most of the time we accept). By accepting it means we have to cater to their request which may include visits to the Petrosains, Geleri PETRONAS, the Philharmonic Orchestra and even lunch at the Malaysia Protoliam Club at level 42., depending on who these people are.
We have students from schools and universities, other oil corporations, VIPs from other countries and even ministers… whoever who writes in for a formal visit.
Hello, before you all get me wrong, I would like to clarify something. When I say whoever doesn’t mean likewhoever…not those of you who comes for shopping and feel like coming up the tower.
*yawn*
So yah, back to the story… we had some 30 students from the Petroleum Institute of Dubai visiting the towers. These students were some smart-ass scholars who got themselves a place in their national petroleum’s university. All majoring in fields i don’t even know they existed… some chemical chemical, geoscience engineering stuff. Very complicated names I don’t remember but it surely they sounded very pro.

We had our manager of policy and planning to give them a corporate briefing as well as presenting them the corporate video before they were allowed to ask questions.
Normally when it comes to all these Q&A sessions between the speaker and students, we Malaysia students keep our mouth shut and pray for the session to end as soon as possible. Unlike us, these bright students asked zillions of questions… and again, questions which I don’t understand at all cause it contains those chemical chemical and technical technical jargons. *ceh
It was as if they get prizes for the person with most questions asked, cause they kept raising their hands and bombarding my poor manager with questions till we had to limit the numbers of questions asked.
Some asked
Amboi amboi…. Apani? Apa green house effects pulak….they think they visiting
They brought us souvenirs though...hehehe. A
So anyway, after the briefing and Q&A, we had some light refreshments and headed off for the sky bridge.
You know what one of the students actually asked me?
He told me that he saw my name tag and asked if my name is “HARIAN” and what does my name mean??!!
WTF.
That was a temporary daily tag I was wearing and which part of it sounds like a name to him?!
I don’t reckon anyone who will name their child “HARIAN” or “MINGGUAN” or even “TAHUNAN”.
T_T
I don’t like Dubai students. Full stop.
