Mishaps and bangkok, the sin city.

I accidently skipped morning lecture. Eh, really la!

I did plan to go but i woke up slightly late because i subconciously canceled my alarm twice. By the time i got ready and entered the car, the clock showed 7.22..... i drove until a school nearby and got stucked in a jam. That's when i gave up and made U-turn home to join my bed which was ever ready to accept me, anytime.
Speaking of bed, i'll be getting my desk real soon and i'm still looking for a display/book shelf in white.

Before i go on to the bangkok trip, let me tell you something terrible that happened to Jack. We brought Jack for a haircut because cny is coming and he came back with a BROKEN EAR

Poor fella got his ear snipped by one of the groomers and this auntie which i think must be the owner/owner's wife was rather annoying (with tattooed eyebrow and annoying speech) told us it was a minor cut and quickly collected the full amount before we were able to see him. Stupid lady. She told us it was a minor cut because their scissors are all imported from Japan and bla bla bla and so it is really sharp and bla bla bla and that Jack was not being obedient and he shaked his head while they were cutting his fur, so they accidently cut his ears.

WAH WAH WAH. if dogs dont move or shake their heads, then my dad would be a better groomer than you all idiots lor. I like la, my dog can move all he wants because he's a living creature not an i-dog, you morons!

Poor fella but lucky he is alright now, or else i'll be back with an imported scissors to snip that lady's ears off! hmpf!

As for the bangkok trip, i really love love love that place for its cheap bargains for clothing and accesories. Its so cheap there it made sg wang looks like Pavilion. erm.. abit exagerrated. But somewhat there la.

With the love, comes the hatred. It's so blardy jam there! anyday, anytime of the day... the road is filled with cars and that's what i got to experienced the moment i got down from the airport. Massive jam all the way to the hotel.

Because i have a grand aunt there who's a thai, alot of things are made easier. She got us amazing hotel rates for 120/night inclusive of breakfast for 2 which was supposed to cost 180. It was only walking distance to china town and just right beside Hua Lamphong MRT station!

She's the greatest grand aunt a.k.a tour guide i've got! She of teochew descent and is thai-born because my great grandfather re-married at bangkok. So, she's my grandmother's half sister. Abit confusing but its ok. She can even speak cantonese because she really was a tour guide many years back!

Our first dinner with my grandauntie, Ratchani at Jea Ngor Kitchen that serve chinese food.

...and also where i ate this weird kangkung without its leaves.... but it tasted really nice and different. After dinner, we went to Patpong night market and Silom area. Patpong night market is very much like petaling street night market with item's price marked up real high for tourist.

My grand aunt came to join us every morning and brought us wherever we wanted to go, offering her advice on where to go and where not to go. Most of the time the places me and my sister would like to go she would say "her go bo mit kia boi gai..." (there got nothing to buy one). That is why we ended up in China town most of the time because she claims all these tourist attractions get their items from china town.

But she's really nice la, she got us cab without having taxi drivers to cheat us tourists cause we can't speak thai. The 2nd day we were there, she and her husband who's about 82 years old and still plays the piano and organ at home, singing karaokae at times treated us lunch at the Emerald Hotel's famous Daiichi Japanese Buffet. Sad for me cause i don't fancy japanese food. I kept stuffing myself with tempura prawns and ice creams.

The best thing in Bangkok was shopping! Added bonus was that grand aunt was our translator and could bargains for us whenever me and my sister eye on something. There wasnt much bargaining actually when she's around simply because she's local.

I heart Pratunam! The entire stretch of road is filled with shopping malls just like singapore's orchard road. Of course, i like pratunam better. That simply mean, it's also another freaking jam area added with the already jam bangkok where most taxis refuses to go.

1 day is definately enough for this. You need at least 3 whole day if you were to shop in all the malls there. I think i only went into a few because most malls, grand aunt would say "her go bo mit kia boi gai..."

We shopped from day to night. Took lots of pictures outdoor cause the chrsitmas and new year decos are still up and its really beautiful!!

The best mall to me was the Platinum fashion mall! i went there for twice on 2 different say because i couldnt get enough. The entire mall of 5 stories are dedicated to girls with 3 whole stories for girl's clothes (tredier and even cheaper than sg wang), 1 whole storey for shoes and another storey for bags! Each stories has row and rows of shop lots selling clothes and accesories. Clothes were as cheap as 100bath (rm10) to 300bath (rm30) most! Most of them have 2 different prices. One for wholesale and individual sale though i think its more like a sales gimmick cause you can actually bargain for the wholesale price even though you're just buying 1 pcs.

I forgot about taking pictures because i was too taken away by shopping.

You would have noticed by now from my fb pics (that's if you have me in your facebook) that i did not just went shopping. I also went to the.. erm... palace and Arun Wat and stuff over there. Nice ancient buildings and all.

Oh, suprisingly... bangkok is not as hot as it is when i was there. In fact, the breeze is rather cold at times because... erm, bangkok, at this time of the year is furthest from the tropic. In fact, i just read some news online that emergency was declared in some parts of thailand because temperature fell as low as 13 degree celcius on Monday, 13th. Wao, thats like right after we left..

I had to tie my hair for this picture because the wind was fooling with my hair.

Notice my unflattering attire? this is what they made me wear into the palace because i'm too sexayy.

Nola... we're not allowed to wear sleeveless into the palace because its a sacred place and yada yada so we had to rent this shirt which made me look like a janitor. Someone from fb actually thought it was part of my attire or some kind of uniform. wtf.

Then we sat on the cheapest boat ever. 3bath/person which is like 30cents. Hohoho...but its only across the river la. Chao Phraya wey!! the one we learnt in geogrpahy.

This is me and the pet that carried me home. Joking.

and me again at somewhere i dont recall its name because i am only good at shopping mall's name.

...and the proud parent of the kid. My sister says i looked special, as in "istimewa".

I've so many pictures taken at this place.... i'm getting too lazy to post.

Last but not least, we went to the famous weekend market at Chatuchak. We told mum and dad the night before that we have to go no matter what because it's rated No.1 online for top 10 shopping destination in bangkok. How can we miss it!

We went there by the MRT, about 20 stations from us!

And then, no pictures. why?
because that place has hell lots of things to buy lor!! I forget about taking pictures when i shop, sorry.

Its the biggest and most happening market i've been to.. but we didnt had enough time to walk the entire place and was afriad of getting lost.
When we left, mum told me she went to one part where all they sell were pets! It was damn cheap because shih tzu was selling for about RM280 only, and that's even before bargaining!
Too bad we were running out of time.

We went to chinatown for lunch and headed back to hotel to check out before leaving to the airport.

We left early for airport because i heard that the bangkok airport has lots of things to shop. Hehe. We shopped for a few hours and boarded the plane home.

I was so freaking tired but it was all worth while and an enjoyable one...

Because i came back with lotsa new friends!!

Now, say HELLO to them will you?
Suprisingly, no shoes. HAHAHA. I'm so proud of myself.

... but plenty of clothes enough to last the entire 15 days of CNY!

ps: I just noticed that there's alot of polka dots... haha.

pps: I'll be back!

Wedding, Penang, Ipoh

I have lost count of the days and date and all i know is that when mum and dad are home, its weekend.
It happens all the time during the holidays.

Anyway, as promised... here are a few pictures of the first church wedding i attended.

Evryone was teasing me that day saying that i wanted the bouquet of flowers from the bride very much (from the tossing) because i kept telling them i wanted to see it and wonders if it is like what i imagined it is. I did participated at the end feeling rather weird cause the whole bunch of guys i went with were practically standing by the side giggling and cheering at me while i stood there waiting for the toss like a log. Finally, some girl who stood most front got it. Thank god.

It was my 2nd time to the church and and it happens to be with the same Rodigeous(did i spell it correctly?) family.

As for the penang trip, i am super dupper lazy to blog about it cause they are damn many pictures i wanted to show and there are still incomplete (stupid dannie filter photos when he sends them out).

So iam just gonna have some of them posted while i leave the rest for facebook later.

This's somewhere near Padang Brown where i remember eating 2 plates of char kuey teow. =D

Dim Sum. Dim Sum. Dim Sum, my favorite! (Check out Dannie's automated hand for food grabbing)

We also went to Feringgi where some people claim is a "must go" and it seems that if you dont go there, you don't consider yourself as visited penang. So, we went there because we wanted to be considered as visited Penang. We took a short stroll by the beach and took posey photos.

I have no idea what's so interesting about the place besides the RM4 dvd. But i find it amazing that these dvd's sellers are so cool, they have namecards.

"Halooo, i'm ah boy, CEO of Feinggi DVD Venture". Muahaha!

As predicted, the girls like it better in Queensbay Mall. =D
Unlike malls in KL, Queensball mall's deco was Doraemon themed.
I like it better if i have had more cash with me.

The love bugs. mauahhaa

On the first night, we went to Mois, apparently a very happening club in Penang.

Very happening indeed. I dont know if it's because its school holidays.. there were freaking many teenage kids! A whole big bunch of them outside when we reached. omg. Like we're entering the Museum except that they dress extra.. erm..seafoodlicious.

I might be stereotyping but i came across so many people acting really rude while iam there. I saw this girl in the MOIS's toilet digging her nose away like noone's around.Really gross and another talking really loudly "HARRLOWW?? WEY, LATER BRING THE CAR IN FRONT I WANT TO TAKE MY BAG OK #!%^*!@

Back in the hotel room, Michelle and Koku taught us new stuff.

The trademark pose of someone in our uni which we made fun of.

My failed attempt which turned out looking really vain. But still no fight to Dannie's.

MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Check out his portfolio here.

Thats Penang for now.

The next stop before heading back to KL was Ipoh. Had my cup of original Ipoh white coffee! damn tasty!
High on caffeine.

We took hell lots of pictures at this cave which i forgot its name and i'm really lazy to give captions to it already.

Next up, christmas eve at ttdi!

Shopping, baking and presents.

I have so manyy things to update and blog about but i am super lazy to type as usual.
Eh, i just realised i like using the word "super" like super alot. There! another super.
Ok, lets start off with my pyramid outing the other first ok. Shall call it the "pyramid day"

For the pyramid day, it was my first time driving to Sunway pyramid.
Managed to get there with the help of veni who teragak-agak only and kl signboards though the signboards in Malaysia sucks big time.

Yup, so we reached there safe and sound.
It was a big achievement for me cause i am a loser on the road who only know the way to uni and back home. For now, i have successfully learnt the route to the last mall i 've targeted. *Hula!*

at the walk way

So anyway, pyramid was nice and there were sales going on and super lots of cute stuffs meant for christmas. Was very tempted to buy them but decided to forgo those items cause these little little things when i start buying, i'll never stop.Need to go for more practical things instead.

Veni got herself a pair of shorts she always wanted to buy. Those check ones from Nichi cause it fits her perfectly and a blouse from MNG. On the other hand, i got myself a dress for work and a pair of shoes for work. CAN SEE HOW PRACTICAL I AM CAN OR NOT?!
*proud*

Besides shopping, we also bumped into CELEBRITIES.

powerpuff girls, dexter and didi!

Super dupper cute and adorable those characters! and they were actually singing and dancing with synchronize movements and all ya know!
There were sooooOOoo manay kids sitting and watching. Towards the end, there were fake snows falling down the stage from above!
Really wanted to take picture wth them but the Q for it was freaking long and only kids lining up. So forget it la.

here comes mojojojo the green munki!

I wanted to go down and check if Sandra's in one of the powerpuff costumes or not, cause i remember her telling me some time back that one of her friend offered her a job as powerpuff girl. *hmm... i suspect that butercup might be her!

hmm.. anyone home??

Due to the fact that we dont frequent that place often, we walked around aimlessly and got ourself to this little corner with beautiful decoratives and candy house. They had choo-choo trains in there for kids as well. It was like alice in wonderland that sort of place. Like we walked into a mysterious land.

The jokers!

Mr Snow gave me a lollipop

Lined up for Jco's and headed to bangsar for dinner.
We wasn't sure how to get back to kl from there and we followed the signboard. WHICH WAS A WRONG THING TO DO. That damn signboard leads us to a freaking long highway and we paid for 2 tolls to reach bangsar. How annoying!
I was cursing all the way on the highway cause it was a super loOOoong strech of highway and as if 1 toll s not enough, they had another toll just before we could turn into Bangsar. Dammit. Money sucker really. No wonder there we only a few cars on the entire highway. Got conned 99! hmmph!

Now we know that Malaysia's signboards cannot be trusted. They only leads you to highway which you need pay! and if you dont pay, they don't give you signboards! That simple.

Anyway, i complained to Suzanne bout it when we met her at bangsar. She told us that signboards in green are for highways and blues and non-highways routes. *0_o . I didnt know that!!

These are the cookies i baked the other day which turned out *cough cough* kind of soft and ugly. We were too concentrating on making the icing that we left it out and it all turned soft.
The icing also super susah cause it turned hard real quick once exposed to air... so it was kind of difficult to squeeze them out of the tiny winny nozzle.

aRGH, anyway, my first attempt was a disaster due to many reasons. Was rushing also cause daddy was waiting for me in the car already for dinner when i was doing the icing. That explains the ugly uneven lines on the cookies.

looks can be deceiving

Anyway, looks like mum was the only one who seemed to be impressed with them and decided to get me all the utensils i need to make these cookies today. Therefore.. i'll be baking them again later!
hooray!!

Sister is back from work in singapore. Since she is a super kiamsiap lady, no one was expecting anything from her. But this time round, she came back with gift for everyone.. must be the christmas atmosphere in singapore that encouraged her to buy gift.I am pretty sure la.. she normally buy things for herself only and keeps complaining how broke she is and all the credit card debts she have as if those credits came from nowhere without purchase.

She got a G2 pink polo tee for dad

Photobucket

She got an Estee lipstick for mum

She got a Fila tee for my brother

3 pathetic boxes of NERDS!

HOW CAN!!!!
I asked her how come and she said because i always like it. YAH true. but i like ALOT of other things also ma!

While everyone was super happy with the gifts,i was sulking all time. Mum asked me what she bought for me and i showed her the 3 boxes of Nerds. She laugh at me some more. How cruel is that!
I think my sister kinda realised how dissapointed i was...then she gave me another item.

Photobucket

Ohohoho! a cute tee! *ceng!*
I took the tee and said thank you, trying not to look so happy. In case she wanna take back you know..
Deep down inside. I was laughing like mad and jumping with happiness.
Its not the gift that matters, its just that she hardly buy things for me you know.

Let me rephrase;
My sister is so nice, my sister is so nice, my sister is kind hearted, my sister is pretty, my sister is lovely. My sister is generous,my sister is the best sister in the entire world. For now.

Anyway, check out what happened to the poor beanie that Jack got.
It's dead even before christmas.

One eye gone and a missing nose.

RIP, you poor beanie
